Ways to Donate

How you can make a difference

The support of the community is essential to the success of the Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento. We rely on community support at all levels, but first and foremost, dollars help. It is these financial contributions that give us the most flexibility in fulfilling the needs of the 1,200 -1,800 children we serve each year.

Growing Hope Club

Become part of the Growing Hope Club and join a special group of committed donors that helps kids on an ongoing basis. Together, we can make a huge impact for at-risk youth in the Sacramento community and beyond.

Your monthly gift is not only simple and easy to set up, but it also provides a steady and reliable source of funding for the Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento.

A Few Ways Your Dollars Make A Difference:

  • $10 provides socks for a child
  • $25 provides a haircut for a teen
  • $50 provides a child a birthday party
  • $100 provides mental health services to help a traumatized child cope and begin healing

Your gifts will help us provide things like the items above, while also supporting our vital and life-changing programs:

Gifts of Assets

Asset Giving Options

If you have appreciated stock or mutual funds – or are required to take a minimum annual distribution from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) – you may be able to offset applicable taxes by making a donation of assets.

Also, some donors choose to plan an “after-lifetime” gift through a will, trust or by making the Receiving Home a beneficiary of an IRA or life insurance policy. We celebrate them as members of our Hope for Healing Legacy Circle.

To discuss the various asset giving options available to you – or if you’d like to let us know that you have included the Children’s Receiving Home in your will, IRA or life insurance policy – please contact legacy@crhkids.org or call (916) 482-2370 ext. 1205.

Memorials and Honor Gifts

At CRH, we understand how much your family members, friends, and co-workers matter to you. After all, our philosophy is that “families matter.”

  • MEMORIALS express your sympathy and respect for the loss of a loved one. CRH will send a thoughtful card to the family of the deceased letting them know of your caring gift.
  • HONOR GIFTS express your admiration and appreciation in honor of someone special or a special occasion. CRH will send an appropriate card to your selected honoree that may be personalized to convey your good wishes: “Happy Birthday,” “Congratulations on Your 25th Anniversary,” or an individual message of your choice.

Make your tribute gift here or please contact Alexandra Gonzalez regarding your tribute gift at 916-349-7530 or agonzalez@crhkids.org

Vehicle Donation

General information

How to Donate

The Children’s Receiving Home is partnered with a third party to operate the vehicle donations program.  Please go to the donation page and click on the vehicle icon.

Vehicles, including cars, trucks, RV’s, travel trailers and boats with trailers, MUST adhere to the following criteria:

  • Vehicle must be complete (tires, engine, transmission, etc.). However they need not be running.
  • The vehicle must have a clear title. Current registration is not necessary
  • We prefer that the vehicle be located within the greater Sacramento area. Vehicles outside the area will be considered on a case by case basis.

The following criteria may cause a vehicle to be declined:

  • Vehicle is located outside the service area
  • Vehicle is in extremely poor condition and/or not marketable

To donate your vehicle, simply click on the vehicle icon here: www.crhkids.org/donate

By donating your vehicle you will receive a tax deduction, avoid the hassle of selling the vehicle yourself, and, most importantly, you will be making a contribution to the important work being done by the Children’s Receiving Home.

On behalf of all of our children and staff, thank you for considering our agency for your donation!
