Until we are able to be together in person, please take a virtual
walk through our CRH campus and explore the different spaces and
programs here at the Receiving Home.
We filmed this video to educate our kids (and staff) about the
new measures and how we’re employing social distancing within our
unique environment. Thank you to all who have shown appreciation
to our amazing team – who are going far above and beyond the call
of duty during this confusing and scary time.
Thank you to HomeAid Sacramento, Wells Fargo, and all the amazing
volunteers for coming out for a paint and clean up day. Our dorm
on campus got a much-needed update, and we couldn’t be more
grateful for the help!
Want to make an impact this holiday season? Head to Arden Fair
Mall now until December 23rd and donate through our Angel
Station. Every gift, big or small, helps a child or teen in need.
We caught up with one of CRH’s alumni, C. Cloud Monteclaro. Cloud
currently attends San Francisco State University, is highly
involved, and is on track to graduate in the spring of 2019.
A huge thank you to Norix Furniture for donating new mattresses,
bed frames, ottomans, nightstands, and folding tables to our
campus! Your donation means the world to the children we serve.
Greg Farmer started as a resident at CRH, and now is a youth
mentor on campus. He talks about acting as a support system for
current residents, and what he aims to teach every youth he works
with.
We sat down with our Training Manager, Karen Gregg. Karen shares
about her unique training style and what it takes to be a
successful child care worker.
Danielle Carralez, a past resident of the Children’s Receiving
Home, talks about her journey, struggles, and triumphs. To see
more of her work, head here.
