Staff Profile

Glynis Butler-Stone, MS
Chief Executive Officer

Glynis Butler-Stone has over 25 years of nonprofit child welfare, social service, health program management, and leadership experience. She received her Masters Degree in Counselor Education from CSU Sacramento, is a 2008 graduate of the Sierra Health Leadership Program and is a third generation “Sacramentan”.

Glynis has served in a variety of capacities focusing on implementing services for the most vulnerable children and families in the Sacramento region. With increasing leadership roles at several local child welfare agencies and previously serving as Director of Clinical Services for CRH, she is well equipped for her new role as Chief Executive Officer.

She is passionate about her work with children and families effected by trauma and Glynis continues to be actively involved in local and statewide reform and advocacy efforts. She is a member of the Heart Gallery of Sacramento Board and desires to bring her knowledge, skills and passion for permanency to additional local children touched by the foster care system.

In addition to program development, Glynis brings experience in performance quality improvement, risk management and strategic planning. In February 2020, CRH successfully achieved re-accreditation with the Council on Accreditation under her guidance and direction. Glynis is looking forward to leading the Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento into the next phases of California’s Continuum of Care Reform (CCR).

Glynis enjoys spending time with her husband and “furry” children, participates in as many dance and fitness classes weekly as she can, loves attending local theater events and is a “die hard” Sacramento Kings fan since 1985.
