It’s World Gratitude Day!
Today, we're giving thanks to our generous community. You impact our kids' lives with every act of kindness!

We’re Grateful for YOU

“…It’s easy to say ‘It’s not my child, not my community, not my world, not my problem.’ Then there are those who see the need and respond. I consider those people my heroes.”
-Fred Rogers

Happy World Gratitude Day to our dear friends and advocates. We hope that you and your families are healthy and safe, and hold you close in our thoughts. 2020 has been quite a year so far, and it is no stretch of the imagination to say that because of you we have been able to nimbly adjust to provide the very best care for the kids we serve, while protecting them and our dedicated team members.

Thank you to all who have reached out, been updated on our safety protocols, and still found creative ways to give back and help our youth. Here are a few safe and simple ways to make an impact in our children’s lives:

  1. Explore our Amazon Smile Wish list of items our kids are requesting during their stay with us. Purchase online and your gift will be sent straight to our Home!
  2. Attend our very first Chipotle Fundraiser on Saturday, September 26th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. 1/3 of proceeds will go toward helping the children and teens we serve.
  3. Follow our social media pages for our latest volunteer opportunities, events, and updates.
    1. Facebook
    2. Twitter
    3. Instagram

As always, thank you for allowing us to provide a safe haven full of hope & healing for vulnerable youth in our community. ❤️

Plus, when you join we’re throwing in a limited edition CRH face mask! It’s simple. Just go to crhkids.org/growing-hope-club, sign up to become a monthly donor of ANY amount, and we’ll send you your reversible CRH face mask in the mail!

CPSU Relocates from CRH Campus

Sacramento County Child Protective Services’ Centralized Placement Support Unit (which has leased space on our campus for the last 10 years) has relocated to a County-owned property.

CPSU and the Children’s Receiving Home have long collaborated to meet our shared goal of ensuring that children who have suffered abuse or neglect have a safe place to live, home-cooked meals and nurturing care while longer-term placements are located.

CRH will continue to shelter dependent children in partnership with Sacramento County by providing temporary shelter care services, while also serving youth across the region via our Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program, outpatient Partial Hospitalization Program and groundbreaking Sprouts Trauma-Informed Care Preschool.
