COVID-19 campus modifications
We are dedicated to the health and safety of our clients and staff.

Amid the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, The Children’s Receiving Home remains steadfast in our commitment to the most vulnerable in our community, while preparing for the potential eventuality of a positive test on our campus. Dorm-focused activities and recreation have taken the place of all-campus movie nights, basketball games and cookie-decorating contests. In-person visits have been suspended, and our dedicated staff are coordinating video calls and telephone chats with court-approved family members and social workers. Body temperature is checked twice a day for residents and staff members. Janitorial services have been accelerated and staff are regularly disinfecting high-touch surfaces. Home-cooked meals are still prepared by our kitchen team but are served to-go and eaten in dorms. Staff members are wearing gloves and masks, and we are preparing in the event that we need to establish a quarantine dorm for sick youth. Thank you to all who have shown appreciation to our amazing team – who are going far above and beyond the call of duty during this confusing and scary time. As an essential service provider we will continue to meet the needs of the community while keeping our kids and staff safe, 24 hours per day. Lastly, we’ve paused acceptance of in-kind item donations due to public health concerns. To support our youth, you may donate online or text GIVETOCRH to 41444.
