Big Day of Giving a smash success!
Sacramento donors dug deep

Hope, Healing, Health.

The 24-hour online giving challenge that brings the region’s nonprofit community and supporters together generated a record $12 million for local community organizations, including $53,000 for youth served by the Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento.

This year, the Receiving Home is focusing on wellness: both the mental and physical health of our youth. During this unprecedented time, child welfare experts fear a spike of abuse due to the stress and uncertainty COVID-19 is causing families in our community and around the globe.

Here at the Receiving Home, we are doing everything we can to prepare for this increase in the number of vulnerable youth who will need our shelter and services. Any donation, big or small, goes a long way toward providing essentials such as protective equipment and mental health services for our youth, to building new spaces on campus such as social distance appropriate visitation rooms and therapeutic recreation spaces.
