Transition Matters
See how CRH supports Non-Minor Dependents

Children’s Receiving Home has taken up the charge to provide services for 18-year-old transition-age youth who qualify under AB12. With this added funding for foster care non-minor dependents, CRH is able to offer Independent Living Services for non-minor dependents who elect to continue in foster care and who still need to complete their high school education.

CRH has also collaborated with Pride Industries to provide NMD apartments at Auburn Village Apartments for $400 per month. These young adults are able to utilize CRH skill groups and staff support to assist them in becoming self-sufficient.

Currently CRH has several non-minor dependents who are taking advantage of these services and programs. Each have been able to plan for transition in a thoughtful manner with the support they will need to truly be successful.
