Big Day of Giving 2021
$80,000 to help kids thrive!

Each year on the first Thursday in May, the Sacramento region comes together to support organizations that make our community stronger. The Big Day of Giving is a 24-hour, community-wide fundraising movement, organized by the Sacramento Region Community Foundation.

During this year’s Big Day of Giving, nonprofits in the Sacramento region raised a record-breaking $13.3 million, and donors invested $80,210 of that in the youth served by the Children’s Receiving Home!

Donors made this year the most impactful yet for local youth in need of highly specialized therapeutic care – kids whose needs are not being met in family-based settings and who are most at risk. Stabilizing these high-needs youth is not only the right thing to do, but gives them a much better chance of being strong, productive members of society when they enter adulthood.

Thank you to everyone who contributed this year, shared our social media posts, or encouraged your friends and colleagues to give during this very BIG day of giving!
