All About Education:
Equipping staff to take care of our kids in their time of need.

All About Education:

It’s September and the kids at the Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento (CRH) are going back to school after a busy summer of activities. We are serious about education for our kids — and for our staff too!

CRH staff keep up-to-date on all the latest training to ensure we are always providing the best care possible to the children and youth we serve.

From the basics like CPR and First Aid, to more specialized training like the nationally-recognized ASIST suicide prevention method and the Nurtured Heart Approach, a classroom-tested and parent-approved method for hard-to-reach youth — education is at the forefront of everything we do.

The youth we serve depend on our trained staff to be equipped and ready to help them with the challenges they face. Without these specialized offerings, our staff could not provide the high level of care and expertise to counsel our youth through their struggles during this pivotal time in their lives.

In the photo below, 17 more of our staff completed their ASIST certification last month. They are now ready, willing, and able to serve our youth should the need arise.
