2020 Vision For Our Youth
Here's to looking into the future of the Children's Receiving Home of Sacramento (CRH)

CRH’s Next Phase

Since 1944 we have committed ourselves to positively impacting the lives of children, youth, and families affected by abuse, neglect, behavioral health issues, and trauma in California. Originating as an emergency shelter, CRH has transformed over the years as the needs of youth and families have grown.

Over the past few months, the State issued our Home a new Temporary Shelter Care (TSCF) & Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) license to improve our ability to deliver critical trauma-informed care and mental health services.

CRH STRTP provides high-quality intensive mental health services in a residential environment to improve overall functioning through trauma-informed, culturally relevant treatment approaches within a short-term treatment model, preparing youth to transition to permanency in the community. More about our approach, process, and services, HERE.

It remains a challenging time for foster care providers across the nation, and especially in California. We enter the new year clear-eyed about the difficulties faced by youth in need of our care and are committed to fulfill our mandate to provide sanctuary, hope, and healing to vulnerable youth in our community with nowhere else to turn.
