Billie Cole Early Childhood Center

Some people remain loyal and passionate to their favorite causes. Billie Cole served on the Board of Directors in the 1960's and remains a strong supporter of the Home today. It was during her tenure that the Home moved from its downtown Sacramento location to our current campus facilities. The entire Cole family including all of Billie's children, grandchildren and great-grand children became involved in helping the Home.

To honor Billie and her long time support of the Home, the Cole family did something truly meaningful for our youngest residents, our 1 to 5 year olds which we call our Acorns. They adopted the entire Acorn's program by establishing a permanent fund at the Sacramento Community Region Foundation to help these youngest abuse victims. To show our appreciation, the Acorn's program has been named the Billie Cole Early Childhood Center and is being transformed into "a true campus within a campus". Through their generosity, a "challenge grant" has been created. For every dollar donated to the Center, the Cole family will match it with an equal amount! In effect; it doubles the value of each gift we receive! If you would like to donate to the Center, please make sure to designate your gift.
