Activities & Recreation

Activities and recreation is a great way to keep our kids to stay occupied in a constructive and healthy manner. Daily activities are provided on campus for different age groups. As the children's length of stay is often unknown, we attempt to take them on as many off site outings as we can. We use gift certificates to take the children skating, to basketball and baseball games, and other fun places such as Scandia, Golfland Sunsplash.

A combination of available funds (gift certificates), volunteers, and staff make so many fun activities possible. Many holiday celebrations take place as well. Each year the children celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving, and many December Holiday's including Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, etc. As our children come from all different types of backgrounds we strive to ensure that each child is able to celebrate the holiday's they did at home.

To view which types of gift certificates are most popular amongst our children please visit our on-going needs page by clicking here.

Many volunteer activities take place on and off campus. If you would like to learn more about what types of activities you or your group can help with please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Kelly Bradfield, at kbradfield@crhkids.org or call (916) 349-7530 ext. 29.

If you would like to donated items or gift certificates to contribute to our activities and recreations efforts, or if you or a group would like to set up an activity with the children please call our Donations and Fund Development Line at (916) 482-2370 ext. 305.

"Of all the charities out there, CRH is the most worthwhile. It serves the community in a unique way that just can't be duplicated."
