Point Store
Our on-grounds "Point Store" is the most popular program on campus. All children
earn points by performing specific chores on a voluntary basis.
Once a week the kids may spend their points on various items such as toys, books,
makeup, electronics, gift certificates, or other items. All of the items in the
store have a point value, the more expensive the item, the higher the point value.
Kids can save up their points to purchase a more valuable item.
By using this point system, we have found the children's behaviors are shaped in
a positive way. In addition, key information is gathered regarding each child's
willingness and ability to participate in helpful behaviors and with others.
The "Point Store" depends on corporations and individual donations to keep it stocked.
