Off-Site Outings
Many of the children in our care have missed many childhood experiences which we
all take for granted. Going to a baseball game, attending the zoo, watching a play...these
opportunities provide more than mere entertainment to children. They can inspire
them for for the future, offer positive role models, and give children a positive
outlet for their energy.
Although our average length of stay is 25 days, some kids may stay 60 days or more
depending on the complexity of their case. Could you imagine eating, sleeping, attending
school and playing just on one site for 60 to 90 days? No, most of us couldn't.
We try to expose our children to a variety of opportunities for learning, growing
and providing a sense of normalcy in their lives. Local theaters and museums, sporting
events, the circus...we want to let our kids enjoy themselves in a positive and
safe environment. Most of all, we want to let our kids just be kids and create their
own fond memories of youth.
If you would like to donate to this program, you can designate your gift to Off-Site
Activities or you can donate passes to sporting events, movie theaters, etc.
