Clinician- Part Time
Position Summary:
The Clinician is responsible for providing individual, family and group therapy to clients in the shelter program. The Clinician also works closely with county and Children’s Receiving Home social workers, consulting and collaborating on client’s progress and treatment plans. Serves as a program consultant to the shelter programs. All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- LCSW or MFT preferred.
- Licensed Clinicians must be registered with the California BBS as an MFT or LCSW.
- Unlicensed Clinicians must also be registered with the California BBS as an ASW or MFT intern. Must receive MFT, LCSW license within six years of initial registration with the California BBS as an intern to meet Sacramento County contract requirements.
- Master’s Degree from an accredited school of Social Work or other graduate program in Psychology, Counseling or Marriage, Family and Child Counseling is required.
- Experience working in an inpatient or residential clinical setting is desired.
- Two years experience working with infant/toddlers, children, adolescents and families with emotional problems is required.
Crisis Management Counselor - Full Time
Position Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the clients and providing leadership and assistance to staff and clients in resolving crisis situations. The Crisis Management Counselor is also responsible for assisting the Child Care Workers in overseeing the daily supervision of the clients. Responsible for wrapping around the child at intake and assisting the child with transitions. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. A BA degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related field is desired.
- One year experience working with severely emotionally disturbed children is required.
Medical Assistant - Part Time
Position Summary:
Assist in nursing duties as related to the medical and health care needs of the children. Duties include taking and recording vital signs, assisting with medical emergencies as needed and conducting head lice treatment and comb outs. All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Medical Assistant (MA) certification is required.

A High School diploma or GED is required.

Minimum of two years previous medical assistance experience is required.

Current and valid CPR certification is required.
Residential Counselor
Position Summary:
The Residential Counselor is responsible for the daily care and supervision of agency clients and living conditions. Responsible for creating a favorable group climate in which the child’s safety, emotional nurturing and healthy development are of primary concern. Provide a caring, warm environment for the children through setting clear boundaries and encouraging positive behaviors. Responsible for helping clients build self-esteem, age appropriate interpersonal skills, positive thinking, problem solving and coping skills. Responsible for the hour by hour care, safety, supervision, protection, guidance and discipline of the group as a whole and for each child as an individual. Responsible for meeting the health and personal hygiene needs of the children under their care. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units from an accredited college or university is preferred for positions working with younger clients.
- Must possess a valid California Driver License, a reliable automobile and auto insurance.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a positive interest in the care and developmental needs of our clients.
- Must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position as the job requires some strenuous activities.

- Shift times include Morning, Evening and Graveyard
