This Is A Place Where Children Matter.
We provide quality, temporary emergency shelter care for abused and neglected
children in Sacramento County.
Our shelter care program is exceptional, the standard of excellence for shelter
care providers, and a model for other communities to emulate.
Our staff is the best recruited, best trained and best educated staff in the out-of-home-care
industry.
All children matter to us, and every child counts. We will try to find a way to
find room for every child who comes in our front door.
We will serve every child here exceptionally well, according to their need and
not ours, providing as best as possible a program to fit the needs of all children.
We will provide each child a comprehensive level of services, including food,
shelter, medical and dental care, counseling, social work intervention and attendance
at an on-ground school.
Kids will get better on our campus through the process of being with other children
who have been through what they have been through.
We will provide a full assessment of each child allowing the next-step placement
for the child to be well thought through.
We will work with all children and all families that come our way. We will find
a way to do even the most difficult work.
A failed placement here reflects a failure of us and not the child.
We believe and promote the adages No Child Left Behind, Children Are Our Future,
and Children Are Our Most Important Asset as being absolutely true. All of our efforts
will be in accordance with these statements.
